Fuji X100F
So the other day we loaded up our children and our digital cameras into our van, and tripped on what is a pretty big journey – six months of street tripping! Choosing the apparatus because of this trip was a large job, but we were actually lucky to obtain our fingers on a fresh Fuji X100F to try out on the highway.
We’ll come up with a more thorough overview of the camera directly after we get the opportunity to utilize it more. Up to now it’s been virtually a continuing companion, so we’re actually looking towards seeing what we are able to create with it on the next short while!
For the present time here’s an example of a few of the pictures captured so significantly…
Note: These pictures are direct out of digital camera jpegs (captured utilizing the regular Provia setting) – unless in any other case noted. Lightroom in fact doesn’t have an upgrade however for the X100F therefore i haven’t had the opportunity to have a look at the raw files – however the SOOC jpegs are usually pretty impressive (here’s a conclusion of raw versus jpeg and why you need to care).
Above photo: White stability adjustment, and contrast raise – it had been captured by way of a tinted windowpane
Above shot: comparison increased, highlights reduced, and shadows enhanced.
Above shot: direct exposure increased and shadows improved
Preliminary Impressions:
It is a remarkable digital camera. The massive APS-C 24MP sensor, plus a fixed 35mm comparative f/2 zoom lens is a winning mixture.
For cost / performance / features / design I believe this is most likely the best daily carry camera you can ask for.

What could possibly be enhanced:
There are a great number of enhancements to the X100F on the X100T – but you may still find a couple locations I think could possibly be better.
1. The EVF doesn’t look like it gets the best dynamic variety. I’m confident it’s not similar viewfinder you’ll discover in the X-T2. The darker regions of the scene appear to lack fine detail. Turning off movie simulation preview assisted a little, but it’s still much less bright as I want. I’ll need to experiment even more with adjusting the EVF lighting (I don’t need the complete EVF to end up being unrealistically bright just to be able to see shadow details).
2. The ISO dial is really a raise and twist design. I'd would rather map the ISO dial to 1 of leading or rear handle dials – that will be achievable but I haven’t had the opportunity to determine yet. At this time it’s a pain to rapidly modification the ISO
3. Lastly, it would have already been great if the display flipped up. A flip up display screen really helps capture various angles. I can realize why it’s not really there from the minimalist design viewpoint – but I understand if it had been there it’s an attribute I'd be using.
The Fuji X100F happens to be available for pre-purchase through Amazon.com, and B&H Photograph.
We’ll be by using this camera to capture even more of our trip on the next couple days. Keep tuned in for more improvements and a far more thorough evaluation!
